Founded by lifelong burger fanatic Jesse "J.D." King in 2001, Cali King Burger began as a tiny drive-in trailer on Auburn Street. Inspired by California's sunshine, surf culture, and unbeatable produce, J.D. dreamed of a spot where folks could swing by, grab a killer burger, and feel like royalty—no reservation required. Today, we've grown into Bakersfield's go-to drive-in, but our commitment to fresh ingredients, friendly service, and that laid-back Cali feel has stayed the same.
